Giovanni Corpus
Founder & Managing Partner
Giovanni Corpus is an investment banker and the Founder and Managing Partner of Aperta Equity, where he leads acquisition strategy, capital allocation, and post-acquisition operations across the firm’s portfolio.
Giovanni brings a background in private equity–style investing and hands-on operations, with experience acquiring, restructuring, and scaling cash-flowing businesses across real estate, automotive services, and essential consumer sectors. His investment approach is grounded in operational discipline, downside protection, and long-term ownership.
Prior to Aperta Equity, Giovanni built and managed multiple operating companies and investment vehicles, focusing on distressed and underperforming assets where professional management and systems could unlock significant value. He has overseen transactions involving real estate, service businesses, and asset-backed operating companies, with an emphasis on stabilizing cash flow, improving margins, and reducing owner dependency.
Giovanni’s philosophy centers on disciplined acquisitions, conservative leverage, and active involvement post-close. Rather than financial engineering or short-term exits, his focus is on building durable businesses that generate reliable cash flow through economic cycles.
He holds an MBA from Touro University and began his career after attending community college and the City University of New York, reflecting a practical, ground-up approach to investing and operations.
At Aperta Equity, Giovanni is responsible for sourcing and underwriting acquisitions, structuring transactions, managing capital partner relationships, and overseeing operational execution across the portfolio.
